Occupational Noise Assessment

Hearing loss caused by exposure to noise from work related activities continues to be a significant occupational disease and exposure to high levels of noise over long periods of time can lead to permanent hearing loss.  In Ireland, the “Safety, Health and Welfare at work Regulations 2007” (S.I. No. 299 of 2007) and the “Guide to Safety, Health and Welfare at work Regulations 2007 Chapter 1 of Part 5: Control of noise at work” outline the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from noise. Infrasonic can carry out an occupational noise risk assessment described in these documents. We can also recommend solutions for isolating the noise sources and offer advice on precautionary measures for reducing workers exposure to noise. We can also measure the sound pressure level generated by equipment (and/or product) and determine whether the noise generated is acceptable and is compliant with health and safety law.
